The Second Grade Circus!!!

STEM Fun!

Our STEM challenge this week was to build the highest freestanding tower possible with 5 sheets of paper and 100 cm of masking tape.  

       Heard around the room:

• The more you fail the more you learn! (I love it when my lessons come from their mouths!!!)
• I'm going to look around for some good ideas.  (Yes, we encourage our students to learn from each other!)
• Lots of teamwork!
• Lots of problem solving!
• Lots of persistence!!!

Lego Science

Legos make learning fun!  We've been exploring gears and simple machines with Legos. Check out our merry-go-rounds created with different sized gears!
